Website terms of use
The rules for using this website. The terms for businesses that take up the website plan are separate: the plan terms.
About these terms
The business behind Window Websites is named here, with its business number, province and a contact address, before launch. By using the site you accept these terms. If you sign up for the website plan, the plan terms also apply.
Information, not advice
Articles and guides on this site give general information for window and door businesses in Canada, including summaries of rules from government bodies and of Google’s published guidelines. They are not legal, tax, privacy or product certification advice. Rules change; check the linked source, and take professional advice for your own situation.
References to ENERGY STAR, labels and performance ratings explain how those programs work. Window Websites does not certify, rate or test products and has no connection with Natural Resources Canada or the ENERGY STAR program.
Sample designs
The businesses shown in sample designs are fictional. Their names, web addresses and text were invented to show layouts. Any resemblance to a real business is unintended.
Using the site
- Don’t use the site to break the law, or to send spam through its forms.
- Don’t try to disrupt the site, test its security without permission, or collect data from it in bulk.
- Information you send through a form must be accurate and about your own business.
Copyright and trademarks
The text, design and code of this site belong to its operator. You may link to any page and quote short passages with a link back. ENERGY STAR is a trademark registered in Canada by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and administered in Canada by Natural Resources Canada; other names belong to their owners.
Links to other sites
We link to government and other sources so you can check what we say. We aren’t responsible for those sites, and a link doesn’t mean they endorse us.
Liability
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information on this site. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the revision date shows when. Changes apply from that date.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Canadian province or territory where the operator of this site is registered, named above before launch, and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
